How to Use Remote File Explorer
Overview
The Remote File Explorer allows you to browse the file system of a managed computer directly from your browser. You can navigate through drives and folders, download files (like error logs) to your local machine for analysis, and upload files (like patches or scripts) to the remote device—all without interrupting the end-user.
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Access the File Explorer
First, establish a live connection to the device you want to manage.
Navigate to the computer's details page (e.g.,
#BDESK-CL2).Click on the Live Connection tab (2).
From the sidebar menu, select File Explorer (3).
2. Browse Drives and Folders
The main view will initially display the available logical drives on the remote machine, such as
C:\andD:\(4).Click on any drive or folder name to open it and view its contents. You can navigate deep into the directory structure just like you would on your own computer.

3. Transfer Files (Upload & Download)
You can easily move files back and forth between your computer and the remote device.
To Upload a File: Navigate to the destination folder on the remote machine and click the Upload button (4) at the top of the list. This allows you to send a file from your computer to the remote device.
To Download a File: Locate the file you need (e.g.,
DumpStack.log.tmp) and click the download icon (5) next to its name. The file will immediately begin downloading to your local computer.
